MEDIA STUDY TO BE PRESENTED NEXT WEEK

Belgrade, June 16, 2010 (Danas) - The study that contains analysis of the Serbian media scene and is a basis for the adoption of the Media Development Strategy will be presented to the public next week, Minister of Culture Nebojsa Bradic announced yesterday. Media study was developed by international experts hired by the Delegation of the European Commission in Belgrade and will be sent to public hearing on June 25, 2010, Bradic said at a meeting in Media Center and announced a Strategy to be adopted in the fall. The study will include legal and economic analysis of the media scene, a comparative analysis of relevant national and European legislation, and institutions that are responsible for the implementation of media policy. After the public hearing, which will be held during the summer, clear guidelines for the regulation of the media scene will be offered, including the privatization of media, as well as guidelines for support from the budget.
