OBRADOVIC NEW PRESIDENT OF IJAS (NUNS)

Belgrade, July 4, 2010 (Politika) - Vukasin Obradovic, Editor-in-Chief of the weekly "Vranjske", was elected yesterday to be the new president of the Independent Journalists'  Association of Serbia (NUNS), at the Belgrade Media Center. At the extraordinary assembly of this association, he was the only nominee, and was supported by 139 of a total of 145 colleagues.

Vukasin Obradovic is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the weekly "Vranjske", winner of the prizes "Jug Grizelj", "Dusan Bogavac" and "Stanislav Staša Marinkovic", and was awarded "Personality of the Year" by the OSCE Mission to Serbia in 2009. He was deputy president of NUNS, and acting president from the beginning of June, after an irrevocable resignation of Djordje Vlajic.
