DRAFT MEDIA STRATEGY ON NOVEMBER 22

Belgrade, November 5, 2010 (Danas) - The Draft Media Strategy on the Serbian media reform will be presented at a round table on November 22. The development of the final document of the Strategy will follow, said Natasa Vuckovic-Lesendric, the Assistant Culture Minister, responsible for the media.

The bases for the Media Strategy will be the recommendations from the Media Study, produced by the European experts. The said recommendations were discusset at a series of round tables within the public debate, with participation of media associations ANEM, IJAS (NUNS), JAS (UNS), IJAV (NDNV) and Local Press representing their joint stands.

The Draft Media Strategy will be developed from the conclusions made during the public debate, and will be presented in 20 days. As previously announced, the document of the Strategy should be put before the Serbian Government by early December.
