CALL FOR MEMBERS OF THE RBA MANAGING BOARD

Belgrade, February 10, 2011 (Politika) - Republic Broadcasting Agency has invited interested parties to run for members of Managing board of this institution. According to the RBA spokesman Srboljub Bogdanovic the nine members of the Public Service Broadcaster Managing Board in Serbia and six members for Vojvodina will be elected among registered candidates.

- New members would be elected from the ranks of journalists and media experts, management, law and finance, and other eminent personalities.

The right to apply have all abovementioned candidates, except the members of the Parliament and their colleagues from the Assembly of the Autonomous Province, members of the RBA Council, members of Government, officials of political parties - said Bogdanovic, adding that the decision of who will be in the team of the RBA Managing Board is on the RBA Council. Elected for a term of five years, Board members receive certain compensation for their work, which is primarily related to the monitoring of the consistent implementation of the law on public broadcasting service.
