PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE TO APPEAL AGAINST LENIENT SENTENCES FOR ATTACK ON CAMERAMAN

Belgrade, May 11, 2011 (24 sata) - The First Primary Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade will appeal against the verdict for the attack on Bosko Brankovic, B92 cameraman, according to which Milan Savatovic was sentenced to eight months of house arrest.

"We are not satisfied with the verdict and we will complain about it. We believe that the sentences are too light and inadequate in this case. By imposing such sentences, neither the purpose of punishment nor objectives of general and special prevention are not achieved", said Ljubivoje Djordjevic, Public Prosecutor.
