SABIC: MORE REQUESTS FOR THE PROTECTION OF RIGHTS

Belgrade, June 9, 2011. (Politika) - Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, Rodoljub Sabic, said yesterday that the fact there is "large and constant increase of the number of requests for protection of rights received by citizens, journalists, media and others" is indicative and worrying. Sabic estimated that such increase certainly confirmed the existence of serious problems in exercising rights guaranteed by the Constitution and laws.

„The Commissioner has been working with insufficient number of associates for years and the government has not shown serious intention to solve this problem", Sabic said.
