Public Services Board determined schedule for public debate on the Draft Media Strategy

Belgrade, June 8, 2011 (Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society) - Pursuant to the Article 41 of the Government's Rules ("Official Gazette RS", No. 61/06 - cleared text, 69/08, 88/09 and 33/10),  

Public Services Board determines the following  

SCHEDULE FOR PUBLIC DEBATE ON DRAFT STRATEGY OF DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC INFORMATION SYSTEM IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA UNTIL 2016  

1. The Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society (hereinafter: the Ministry) established the working group for developing the Draft Strategy for Development of the Public Information System in the Republic of Serbia until 2016 (hereinafter: the Draft Strategy);  

2. The working group submitted to the Ministry the text of the Draft Strategy on June 1, 2011;  

3. In the further procedure of the preparation of the Strategy for Development of the Public Information System in the Republic of Serbia until 2016, and on the basis of the Draft Strategy prepared by the working group, the Ministry conducts the public debate;  

4. The public debate on the Draft Strategy will be conducted in the period June 8 - 25, 2011;  

5. Participants in the public debate are all parties interested in the field covered by the Strategy;  

6. Text of the Draft Strategy will be posted on the Ministry's website http://www.kultura.gov.rs/;  

7. During the public debate, all remarks and suggestions could be submitted to the Ministry to the following e-mail address: dnogo@kultura.gov.rs, or sent by post to: 3 Vlajkoviceva Street, Belgrade;  

8. Debate on the proposed Draft Strategy will be conducted at round tables to be organized in cities in the Republic of Serbia, according to the following schedule:  

•·         Kragujevac - June 13, 2011

•·         Nis - June 15, 2011

•·         Novi Sad - June 16, 2011

•·         Novi Pazar - June 20, 2011 and

•·         Belgrade - June 21, 2011  

9. After the completion of the public debate, the Ministry will produce a report on the finished public debate;  

10. This program should be submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society for the purpose of realization.
