RATEL threatens with penalties for wireless Internet

Belgrade, March 2, 2012 (B92) - Serbian Agency for Electronic Communications threatened with fines of up to two million dinars for wireless Internet operators who failed to comply with the provisions of RATEL.

RATEL announced that the regular control showed numerous irregularities and violations of technical requirements in wireless internet service providing.

RATEL recalls that the operator can be fined from 500.000 to up to two million dinars, if failed to perform the activity of electronic communications in accordance with the applicable general requirements set by the Agency. At the same time with the imposition of fines for the identified violation, it is possible to ban this service for the period of three years.
