20 YEARS OF FIRST ENVIRONMENTAL RADIO YU ECO

Subotica, June 6, 2013 (Dnevnik) - At 11.55, 20 years ago, a new private radio station on the territory of Vojvodina Yu Eco, whose main focus was and remained to be on the ecology, started the broadcast.

Audience in Subotica remember the station as the first media in this town that has aired good music and true and objective information.

Since the very beginning, Yu Eco has gathered young and educated journalists, focused on providing their citizens with true and timely information.

The first program was aired at 11.55 on the World Environment Day, which was symbolically selected to draw attention to the urgency to protect our nature and the planet.

According to the director and the founder of RTV Yu Eco Jozef Pinter, media was seriously lacking the information on the protection of environment 20 years ago. People were not educated, and there were no news from innovations in this area.

Today, Yu Eco is a radio station that lives up to its ideology and will follow, together with the television, its beliefs and keep informing fellow citizens on the latest developments in all areas of everyday life.
