LJAJIC: COMPETITION FOR FREQUENCY CAUSED GREAT DAMAGE

Belgrade, June 6, 2013 (FoNet) - The Minister of the Internal and Foreign Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic said that the calling of the competition for allocating the frequency of the former TV Avala to another TV station had caused great damage and that the free frequency would be better used for speeding up of the process of digitalization.

Ljajic also said that the legal procedure was followed but still he was not satisfied with the fact that the competition was nevertheless called, the daily Blic reported.

Attorney at law and media law expert Slobodan Kremenjak noted that Ljajic could still sign the Rulebook on relocation of frequencies, which would "bring down" the competition.
