RTS AND RTV ON BUDGET AS OF SEPTEMBER?

Novi Sad, June 11. 2013 (RTV) - Funds for public media services will have to be provided in the already tight state budget as of September this year, it was finally agreed today at the meeting of the first prime minister Aleksandar Vucic and representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Media, the RTV reports.

The provision on financing RTS and RTV from the state budget funds will be included in the media laws that will be put to public discussion next week and expected to be adopted by September.

Until then, as the competent authorities claim, the current law is in force, which provides for the TV subscription fee and prescribes fines for not complying with this obligation.
