PARLIAMENT ON PUBLIC INFORMATION LAW
Belgrade, June 13, 2013 (Beta, RTV) - Members of the Serbian Parliament debated at the today's session of the Parliament about the Draft Law on Public Information and Media and asked whether it was true that the government would not respect the legal obligation to call the competition for directors of public companies.
MPs also demanded to know when the cases of murders and other serious criminal offences in Novi Pazar would be solved.
Vesna Marjanovic from the Democratic Party asked the Ministry of Culture what was happening to the Draft Information Law and whether the government would implement the reforms in the media sector. Marjanovic noted that the ruling coalition should have done more in this matter, if it had been seriously dedicated to accessing the EU.
