THE LAW ON PUBLIC SERVICES SOON

Belgrade, August 15, 2013 (B92) - Working group for drafting the Law on Public Services will endeavor to complete the final version of the text by the end of next week, said a member of that working group,  Sasa Gajin.

Gajin confirmed to Beta news agency that the Ministry of Culture and Media withdrew the draft law on public services and formed a new working group of experts to work on this text.

He said that a new working group is composed of representatives of public service broadcasters RTV and RTS, the Ministry of Culture and Media and the two independent experts, and the ambition of this working group is to finalize the text, based on earlier versions, in short period of time.

According to him, the withdrawal of the draft law on public services was requested because it was not known who were the authors of the text, as well as because of objections on the decision on financing the public services broadcasters.
