MINISTER ILIC FAILS TO PAY DAMAGES

Belgrade, October 10, 2013 (UNS) - Legal representative of journalist Vladimir Jesic, Dragica Horovic, said yesterday that Velimir Ilic, minister in the current Government, had failed to pay damages to her client, although he was ordered by the final court verdict to pay compensation of 1.3 million Euros to Jesic.

Ilic was found guilty of assaulting the journalist during the interview by the Novi Sad- based TV Apolo in 2003 in the premises of Nova Srbija political party in Belgrade. For kicking and verbally assaulting the journalist, Ilic was ordered by the court to pay 1.3 million Euros worth of damages.
