SELAKOVIC: ALL MEDIA LAW CASES IN ONE COURT
Belgrade, October 18, 2013 (Danas) - The Serbian Ministry of Justice will propose amendments to the law, under which all media cases would be processed in Higher Court in Belgrade, the Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic said.
"For the first time in Serbia, the Higher Court in Belgrade will be competent for all cases of media law", Selakovic told TV B92.
He also said that discussing the matter on several occasions with media and journalists' associations, it was noted that there was a need for leveling court practice in media cases and that judges needed to be further educated in the field of media law.
Selakovic also announced that the members of the Serbian Parliament would be soon deciding on the set of laws on reform of courts, judges and public prosecutor's office.
