SERBIAN TELEPHONY AND TV SIGNAL IN KOSOVO

13. 02. 2014 (Pregled, Tanjug) - Serbia will be represented on the territory of Kosovo with all aspects of telecommunications, starting from fixed and mobile telephony to digital TV transmission, the Pristina daily "Tribuna" reported yesterday.

That is what the Kosovo and the Serbian governments have agreed on, the newspaper said specifying that the decision will be signed tomorrow within the frame of the document Telekom Action Plan, to which the newspaper had access.

From the day that Kosovo receives a three-digit phone code, its government is obliged within 12 months to enable the presence of a Serbian telephone operator with a permanent license for which a tender will be issued in accordance with EU standards, specifies the Pristina daily.

Before Kosovo receives a phone code, a Serbian mobile phone operator in Kosovo will have a temporary license valid at least until January 2015. The agreement also provides for Serbian operators to transmit television signals, including digital terrestrial transmission, according to "Tribuna".
