RBA WITHOUT DECISION TODAY, KOPERNIKUS AND TV NOVA CONTINUE THE FIGHT FOR FREQUENCY

26. 02. 2014 (Tanjug) - The RBA Council at today`s session failed again to make a decision on the allocation of a national frequency, since four votes each were received by Television Kopernikus and Television Nova, with one vote remaining uncast, Tanjug was told by the Deputy Chairman of the RBA Council Goran Karadzic.

He said that the decision on frequency allocation was not made because it was necessary that one television station receives five votes.

Karadzic explained that competition participants, after receiving the decision, have a right to an appeal, which Council will take under consideration.

- If this second competition fails, I do not know how realistic it is to announce a third competition and we will consult other state bodies, including the Ministry of Telecommunications and RATEL - said Karadzic.

The competition for the national broadcaster was announced last October, it was open until 30 December, and the only interested parties were televisions Nova and Kopernikus.
