TELEVISIONS CONTINUE TO INCREASE SOUND VOLUME DURING COMMERCIALS

11.4.2014 (Danas, Beta) - The Republic Agency for Electronic Communications (RATEL) continues to warn television stations against increasing sound volume during commercials, but it has not initiated any procedures against tv stations, said RATEL director Milan Janković yesterday.

He said at a press conference that the problem is hard to control because many stations operate through cable distribution systems.

As it is stated on the RATEL website (ratel.rs), the Agency has registered many instances of overstepping borderline values of the sound volume, which are constant in the case of some FM radio stations, and are frequent in TV programs during broadcast of commercials, which is unpleasant for listeners and viewers.
