MEDIA LAWS SOON TO BE PRESENTED TO NEW SERBIAN GOVERNMENT

25.4.2014 (Tanjug, Novi magazin) - Drafts of media laws will soon be presented to the new Serbian Government, and they should shortly be proposed to the National Parliament, said Gordana Predić, state secretary in the Ministry of Culture and Information, today in Novi Sad.

"Adopting media laws is necessary considering that we should have come forward with the media regulation more than a year ago", she said to the journalists at the expert international conference "Regional Media in South East Europe".

Predić reminded the participants that the assessment of the draft laws is expected from the responsible European institutions in Brussels and she added that the media laws will be able to enter the parliamentary procedure after a deliberation of possible objections from abroad and Serbia and possible harmonization.
