National televisions in the service of Vučić's list: Why does REM not respond to systematic violations of the law?
The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) warns of extremely unbalanced reporting during the pre-election campaign, as indicated by the latest findings from the Bureau for Social Research (BIRODI). According to the monitoring results, five national television stations predominantly presented the list "Aleksandar Vučić - United Serbia" in a positive light, while the reporting on the Student List was predominantly negative. ANEM cautions that such media imbalance jeopardizes pluralism and the equality of electoral participants, which are key prerequisites for free and fair elections. ANEM calls on the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM) to urgently investigate legal violations and take appropriate measures.
