According to information from Nova.rs, Galin Ćertić made this decision after she was asked to create an official report regarding the conflict between the editor-in-chief of Informer, Dragan J. Vučićević, and a member of the REM professional staff, Svetlana Trajković, in the premises of REM.

Rodoljub Šabić, a member of the REM Council, told Nova.rs that the resignation of the director makes the situation in REM even more difficult and complicated.

"The atmosphere that has prevailed in REM for weeks has made her resignation unsurprising. Some Council members, while protecting certain individuals, have aggressively attacked colleagues, leading to chaos. There is a pro-government part of the Council that stubbornly rejects any attempt to sanction certain media outlets. The resignation of the director makes this situation in REM even more difficult and complicated," said Šabić.

Garić: Employment relationship ends due to retirement
Miloš Garić, a member of the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM), stated today to FoNet that the director of REM, Rajka Galin Ćertić, informed Council members that her employment would end on October 23 due to retirement, dismissing other information about her departure as speculation.

Garić mentioned that the director provided Council members with written information about the termination of her employment a few days ago, adding that he also presented this document at yesterday's REM Council meeting.

He dismissed media reports suggesting that the director had resigned, emphasizing that he was referring to the official information received from her.

Garić noted that the REM Council would discuss how to ensure the proper performance of the director's duties following her departure in the coming days.

According to him, the Council members have not yet spoken with the director, who is currently traveling, and it is expected that they will consider the next steps and possible solutions upon her return.

"We agree that this requires a quick response and an adequate solution. In any case, we will find a solution," Garić stated, adding that the director has the right to retire after many years of service.
