Lumturije Ameti: I am withdrawing my candidacy for membership in the REM Council.
Lumturije Limani from Bujanovac informs the public that she is withdrawing her candidacy for membership in the REM Council as a candidate of the National Council of Albanians.

She contacted our portal on Wednesday evening with a request to publish her statement, which we are relaying:
“I, Lumturije Ameti, candidate for a member of the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM) in the Republic of Serbia, proposed by the National Council of Albanians, hereby announce my decision to withdraw from the further election process for a member of REM.
I make this decision considering the course of the election process thus far, which has been marked by numerous ambiguities, delays, and standstills, as well as the fact that my candidacy does not have the full support of all national minority councils in the Republic of Serbia.
Given that my primary goal has been and remains the fair, responsible, and effective representation of the interests of national minorities in this important institutional body, I believe that without their full and consensual support, my candidacy cannot fully and credibly fulfill that role.
For these reasons, I personally and responsibly assess that it is more correct and honorable to withdraw from a process in which there is no complete support from those I intend to represent, rather than to ignore the publicly expressed stance of the majority of national minority councils.
This position stems from my personal principles of transparency, integrity, and respect for the communities of national minorities, as well as from the belief that their institutional representation must be based on unity and mutual trust.”
