The Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM) has published a report on its website regarding the fulfillment of the legal and programming obligations of Radio-Television of Serbia (RTS) for the year 2024.

The report states that on the First Program of RTS, premiere content accounts for 55.25 percent of total broadcast time, while reruns make up 29.71 percent of total broadcast time.

The most represented program type in the genre structure of broadcast content was the news program (including the "News" shows), with a share of 37.57 percent of total broadcast time.

This is followed by entertainment programs at 13.83 percent and serial programs at 13.68 percent. Sports programs and broadcasts account for 8.01 percent, film programs for 5.83 percent, and documentary programs for 4.45 percent.

Reality programs achieved a share of 3.66 percent, educational-scientific programs 1.41 percent, while cultural-artistic programs are represented with 1.24 percent. Music, religious, and children's programs have minimal shares in the total broadcast time of RTS 1, the REM report emphasizes.

It is added that on the Second Program of RTS, premiere content is represented with 28.31 percent of total broadcast time, while first reruns account for 13.51 percent. Other reruns, with a share of 43.33 percent, make up the largest segment of total broadcast time.

The most represented types of content in the genre structure of total broadcast time on RTS 2 are music programs, which account for 16.20 percent, and film programs with 12.54 percent of total broadcast time.

This is followed by educational-scientific programs (12.31%), sports programs with broadcasts (11.78%), and serial programs (11.75%), as well as news programs with a share of 8.24 percent, which together constitute a significant part of the channel's programming structure.

Documentary programs achieve a share of 6.42 percent, while cultural-artistic programs account for 6.20 percent of total broadcast time. Children's programs are represented with 3.87 percent, while entertainment (1.92%), religious (1.56%), and reality programs (1.47%) have smaller shares. EPP accounts for 4.58 percent, while promotional content makes up 1.07 percent, and free advertising programs (OBN) 0.08 percent of total broadcast time on RTS 2.
