Šabić: REM has initiated proceedings against RTS, RTV, B92, Prva, Pink, and K1 due to political programs featuring minors.

Member of the Council of the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM) Rodoljub Šabić stated that the body made a decision at today’s session to initiate proceedings against several television stations for airing political propaganda programs that involved minors. N1 Television will not broadcast that spot until REM makes a decision.

Šabić stated on the social media platform X, in a comment on the original post, that minors were used in all cases for the benefit of the electoral list "Aleksandar Vučić - United Serbia," gathered around the Serbian Progressive Party.

The procedure has, as he added, been initiated against Radio-Television of Serbia, Radio-Television of Vojvodina, B92, Pink, Prva, and K1.

"It is prohibited to use minors in programming content for political purposes or to exploit them," Šabić stated, citing the Law on Electronic Media.
