The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) strongly condemns the statements made by the minister and the members of the Serbian Progressive Party at the parliamentary podium, directed against N1 television and Dinko Gruhonjić. It also calls on all public officials and politicians to immediately cease inflammatory rhetoric towards critical journalists and media outlets.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) strongly condemns the threats directed at the authors of the show "Good, Bad, Evil" and the columnists of Danas, Marko Vidojković and Nenad Kulačin, which are constantly repeated on social media, with little to no resolution in most cases.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) fully supports Maja Nikolić and Ivan Pavlović in their objections to the conclusions of the Internal Control Department of the Ministry of Interior and their insistence that an additional appeals process be initiated to uncover the truth regarding the inaction of police officers during the attack on the N1 team.

Journalist and editor of the Glas Zaječara portal, Miljko Stojanović, received a threat on his Facebook profile from Dušan Obradović, who wrote, "I’ll f*** your mother, who are you going to arrest? You will receive a visit soon to repeat that; you are registered." Veran Matić, President of the Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM), a member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, and operator at the Safe Line for Journalists 0800 100 115, reported this threat to the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime.

In September 2025, it will be exactly 20 years since Vladimir Mitrić, a correspondent for Večernje novosti from Loznica and Šabac, was attacked in front of his house with a baton by a police officer from the Novi Beograd Police Station, resulting in serious bodily injuries. Since then, Mitrić has had police protection, which is likely unprecedented in Europe. The assailant was sentenced to six months in prison by the Basic Court in Loznica, but the Court of Appeals in Belgrade increased the sentence to one year; however, he did not serve the full term as he was granted amnesty by the President of Serbia.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) notes that three weeks have passed since the brutal attack and attempted murder of journalists on election day, March 29, in the village of Šarbanovac near Bor. There are video recordings and photographs of the assailants who were abusing journalists during the local elections, as well as images of their jeep and van, and the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Bor has not yet filed charges for this organized attack.

Saša Mirović from Novi Sad posted a comment on September 24, 2024, on the Instagram page "dijabetes-revolucija," under a post where a journalist was unjustly harassed, slandered, and targeted. The post included a photo of the journalist along with the text: "This is journalist Jelena S. Spasić from Kurir, who, together with her colleagues and editors, referred to children with diabetes and their parents as desperate!" Mirović's comment read: "Such creatures should be burned at the stake in front of the entire family."

After years of smear campaigns, stigmatization, accusations of treason and mercenarism, as well as a series of brutal, "radically radical" slanders, there was an attempt at execution. Terrorists set off two bombs under the window of the room where journalist Dejan Anastasijević was sleeping with his wife on the night of April 13-14, 2007. One bomb exploded and damaged the other. Shrapnel was scattered throughout the apartment, but, thanks to the position of the bed, they did not hit the target.

The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Vranje dismissed the criminal charge for violent behavior filed against the director of the Public Utility Company "Komrad" from Vranje, Zoran Dimitrijević, who attacked journalist Jelena Stojković on July 22, 2025, in front of witnesses while she was performing her journalistic duties reporting for "Večernje novosti" from the fire at the "Meteris" landfill in Vranje.
