ANEM ALARM: The same person repeated threats against Mladen Savatović.

The threat was issued by Željko Jovićević, who had already threatened Savatović on October 2 while the journalist was waiting to join the N1 program at Nikola Pašić Square in Belgrade. At that time, Jovićević approached him twice and said he would "break his head next time." An N1 cameraman took a photograph of the individual who threatened journalist Savatović, and a report was subsequently filed with the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office.

The same individual repeated the threat yesterday on the social network X, beneath a post containing a quote from an interview Savatović gave to Nova Ekonomija regarding what should be done with the media after a change of government. In a direct threat that was later deleted, Savatović was warned to be careful, accompanied by insults and swear words, and it was stated that Jovićević "fought for Serbia, while Savatović is now destroying it." Jovićević posted the threat on the X network at around 4:30 PM, but deleted it two hours later. 

In the report to the competent prosecutor's office, ANEM states that the threats from Željko Jovićević, who clearly does not hide his identity by presenting himself as a warrior, cause Savatović to fear for his own safety and that of his family and colleagues. ANEM emphasizes that, in addition to being a criminal act of endangering security, since it is repeated with an obvious focus on journalist Mladen Savatović, it also constitutes the criminal act of persecution. 

We demand that the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office and the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime identify this individual and prosecute him in order to stop the persecution and endangerment of safety, as well as the realization of threats.
