ANEM ALARM: New Death Threats Against Marko Vidojković and Nenad Kulačin

The announcement was posted on the Instagram account of the portal Nova.rs, and the threat to Vidojković and Kulačin, as well as the disturbing, threatening, and chauvinistic hate message, was sent by a person using the Instagram account under the name lesicslobodan (Lešić Slobodan).

In the comments, it was stated: “These two pieces of filth should be killed, f*** their mothers,” as well as: “And this piece of s*** should pay for his actions.”

Operators of the SOS hotline for reporting threats and attacks on journalists reported this threat to the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime, protesting that none of the threats sent from this account, of which there have been about ten this year, have been prosecuted or sanctioned.

“We demand that the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime, as well as the Department for High-Tech Crime of the Serbian Ministry of Interior, pay special attention to multiple accounts from which threats are regularly sent to female and male journalists, sending terrifying and distressing messages and spreading hate speech. These threats and messages often continuously repeat to the same journalists, so that, in addition to jeopardizing their safety with death threats, they are also subjected to harassment. The identities of the individuals threatening from these accounts can be easily determined, as they do not even hide. We note that out of 111 open cases in the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime over the past year and a half, only in one case has the perpetrator been identified and sanctioned,” stated Veran Matić, a member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, Chairman of the Board of ANEM, and operator of the SOS hotline for reporting threats and attacks on journalists.
