Journalist Jošović was attacked in the center of Kragujevac while covering a protest action by dissatisfied citizens gathered in front of the Serbian Progressive Party stand.

Before the attack, according to the journalist's account, an unknown woman took promotional material from the stand, after which she struck the journalist's tripod, causing her mobile phone to fall.

Present police officers took statements from the journalist and the woman who attacked her. The journalist also provided a statement to the police.

ANEM calls on the relevant state authorities to respond swiftly and to process the unacceptable behavior towards the journalist as soon as possible.

Expressing solidarity with the attacked colleague Nikoletta Jošović, ANEM warns the public about the concerning statistic regarding the increase in attacks on journalists, particularly those reporting from protests.
