ANEM ALARM: Threats against the condemnation of threats – the "attack" on Vidojković and Kulačin continues.

From the account cikac.rni, a threat has been posted stating "Slaughter the livestock," which was reported to the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime by Veran Matić, Chairman of the ANEM Management Board, a member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, and an operator on the Safe Line for Journalists 0800 100 115.

The threatening messages to Kulačin and Vidojković were also inscribed below the condemnation of the threats by the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) on the same social network, where the account slojo935 wrote: "They need to be f***ed in the mouth, ustaša aaahhaaa."

 “In the ANEM statement, it is mentioned that Kulačin and Vidojković receive a series of unresolved and unpunished death threats via social media, and it is evident that this impunity encourages escalation. Marko Vidojković was relocated with his family abroad three years ago precisely due to the threats and attacks they experienced. Nenad Kulačin remains in Serbia, exposed to unpunished threats and disturbing messages. Now we have threats upon threats. An endless chain that endangers lives, which can only be interrupted by effective police investigation, prosecution, and strict penalties for the perpetrators. We call on the institutions to do their job and stop the wave of violence against female and male journalists,” stated Veran Matić.

ANEM reminds that Marko Vidojković and Nenad Kulačin are among the most exposed media workers in Serbia regarding the death threats they receive on social media. Since 2019, a total of 26 cases have been opened in the prosecutor's offices regarding threats against the two of them, of which only three have resulted in convictions.
