ANEM ALARM: A new threat has been reported to Marko Vidojković, Nenad Kulačin, and the guests of the show "Good, Bad, Evil."

The threat came from the account @rajkokomlenac8474, which contained the following words: "For these fools, a bullet and some bombs."

This threat, like all previous ones, has been reported to the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime.

ANEM expects a swift and effective response from the prosecutor's office and the police, as well as the identification and prosecution of all those who threaten journalists.

Living under constant threats and with compromised safety puts significant pressure on journalists, affecting their mental health and concern for their own safety and that of their families. Accumulated unpunished threats also lead to the necessity of relocating families or withdrawing from journalism, as well as self-censorship, which we have been witnessing for several years. Such trends must be stopped, which is only possible through effective investigations and strict penalties for perpetrators.

ANEM once again demands that the relevant institutions, police, and prosecutors return to their responsibilities and obligations to ensure the safety of all journalistic teams both in the field and outside of it, and to prosecute those who barbarically prevent citizens from being informed about important issues of public interest.

Veran Matić, President of the Management Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) and member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists

The project "System for the Prevention of Violence and Protection of Journalists" is being implemented by ANEM in partnership with Insajder TV and the Center for the Development of Local Media, with the support of the European Union and the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia.
