ANEM condemns the prevention of journalists from reporting at the event in Zaječar.

As reported by N1 television, journalists were physically prevented from covering the event that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is expected to attend today. Unknown men struck N1's cameraman on the arms to force him to lower the camera and covered his lens, while a journalist from Glas Zaječara, Miljk Stojanović, had his phone stolen, and journalist Miodrag Sovilj and the N1 team were pulled by their arms until they were removed from the scene.

In a recording of the critical incident, a man demanding that the journalists leave the scene said: "This is a request, for now."

ANEM expresses solidarity with colleagues who are trying to inform the public from the field and issues a strong protest against the obstruction of journalists in carrying out their duties. Organizers of the event are called upon to respect citizens' right to be informed and to provide journalists with the necessary working conditions accordingly. Relevant institutions are urged to respond, urgently identify those committing acts of violence, and prosecute them in accordance with the law.
