Bratina and Bujošević: Normal operations of RTS are of exceptional importance for the public information of citizens.
The Minister of Information and Telecommunications, Boris Bratina, met today in Belgrade with the General Director of Radio-Television of Serbia, Dragan Bujošević.

As stated in the ministry's announcement, Minister Bratina offered all necessary assistance and support to the public media service in enabling and ensuring its complete and uninterrupted operation.
The minister also expressed support for the editorial team that has faced significant pressures during the blockade and highlighted his gratitude to the employees of RTS who performed their professional duties under extremely difficult conditions and despite certain obstructions from some employees within RTS itself.
"Problems have been identified in the functioning of Radio Belgrade, as well as the importance of a responsible and professional approach from the employees. It was concluded that it is necessary to reassess the responsibility of those who violated work discipline, the Labor Law, and the internal rules of the public service in the previous period," it was announced after the meeting.
According to their statements, Minister Bratina agreed that it is unacceptable to jeopardize the operations of public services and expressed his support for the general director and employees who demonstrated the necessary level of professionalism, which allowed RTS to continue its programming without interruption even during the exceptionally difficult two-week blockade.
Attending the meeting with Minister Bratina was the general director of RTS, Dragan Bujošević, along with the minister's advisor for information, Miloš Garić, who also reflected on the activities related to the drafting of the Bill on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Public Media Services, which is expected to soon be submitted for parliamentary procedure.
Discussions also included RTS's plans for further enhancing the programming scheme, with an emphasis on educational and cultural programs, which makes the public service exceptionally significant for Serbian culture and society.
The influence of RTS was highlighted, not only as the most-watched television but also as the one that enjoys the highest level of trust among the citizens of Serbia, the Ministry stated.
