BTD Media Fund Serbia
The Media Fund Serbia is a program implemented by the Balkan Trust for Democracy of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Belgrade/Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway (NMFA) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Serbia (SDC).

The program aims to address the urgent needs of the media community and society while simultaneously strengthening the overall media framework in Serbia. The program focuses on the following themes: Strengthening media freedoms, pluralism, and informed citizenship, and increasing the resilience of media actors.
The Balkan Democracy Fund (BTD) announces a call for proposals open to media associations, including membership-based associations, and civil society organizations active in the media sphere in Serbia (hereinafter referred to as media actors), as well as civil society organizations. The call will result in:
Grants for media actors and civil society organizations to enhance and support citizens' ability to critically assess information in the public sphere through media literacy initiatives.
The call has two sub-priorities:
- Media Literacy through Innovation
This sub-priority supports media actors and civil society organizations in their role as "public educators" working on developing audience skills for critical understanding of media content and enhancing critical thinking capabilities. Media actors and civil society organizations are encouraged to experiment with innovative approaches.
