The Center for Social Stability has damaged the reputation and honor of Maja Dragić and Jelena Obućina.

As stated in the first-instance ruling, the Center for Social Stability is obligated to pay Maja Dragić compensation for non-material damages in the amount of 100,000 dinars for the violation of her honor and reputation due to the airing of a recording on March 25, 26, and 27 on the television stations Pink, Prva, B92, and K1, as well as on the social network X, in which it is claimed that "journalists lie and spread hatred."

The lawsuit states that the Center aired a spot on these television stations 34 times, in which derogatory and threatening remarks were made about the television stations N1 and Nova, and their journalists, including Dragić and Obućina.

The Center for Social Stability is also obligated to publish the ruling on television Pink, at its own expense, without comments and without delay, within eight days from the date the ruling becomes final.

It is also obligated to reimburse Dragić and Obućina for the costs of the proceedings in the total amount of 136,100 dinars, with statutory default interest starting from the date of enforceability of the ruling until payment, within eight days from the date of receipt of the ruling, under the threat of enforced execution.

The Center for Social Stability, as well as Dragić and Obućina, have the right to appeal this ruling of the Basic Court.

The Basic Court in Novi Sad issued a first-instance ruling in January, which determined that the Center for Social Stability violated the reputation of N1 and Nova S by broadcasting a video with the logos and journalists of these two outlets, along with claims that they "lie and have sown hatred."

As a reminder, the Center for Social Stability is an organization based in Novi Sad that is behind several films targeting government critics, which have been aired by national frequency television stations.
