Dijana Hrkalović has been convicted in the lawsuit filed by KRIK editor Stevan Dojčinović.
Dijana Hrkalović, former secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was convicted in the first instance based on the lawsuit filed by KRIK editor Stevan Dojčinović for defamation and is required to pay him 100,000 dinars.

Dojčinović sued Hrkalović after she publicly insulted him on Pink television and made a series of false claims about his alleged connections to criminal organizations.
The editor of KRIK, Stevan Dojčinović, filed a lawsuit against former secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Dijana Hrkalović after she insulted him in June 2024 while appearing on Pink television and made several untrue and dangerous statements about him. In doing so, she attempted to undermine Dojčinović's years of journalistic work.
Hrkalović falsely accused Dojčinović of acting on the instructions and orders of Radoje Zvicer, the leader of the Kavač clan, of being connected to Veljko Belivuk's clan, the leader of the "Principi" group, and of conducting media attacks and criminalizing President Aleksandar Vučić and his family members.
“A much more important thing he (Zvicer) stated is the following. We should target President Vučić, attack him in the media. So, what do we have here? Where do we have these media attacks on President Vučić all the time? KRIK, which is backed by the CIA, Dojčinović, Šolak's media, and the opposition. Everyone is telling the same story,” Hrkalović said at that time on the "Novo jutro" show on Pink.
Hrkalović continued to publicly insult Dojčinović after the show, primarily on the social network X.
Dojčinović sued Hrkalović over this, and in her response to the lawsuit, she claimed that he had unjustly linked her to Belivuk and Zvicer in numerous articles on KRIK.
Judge Milena Barjaktarević of the Second Basic Court, after reviewing the evidence provided by Dojčinović, ruled against Hrkalović and ordered her to pay KRIK's editor compensation of 100,000 dinars.
“The defendant labeled the plaintiff as a person connected to a criminal group, acting on the instructions of a criminal organization, being linked to foreign intelligence structures, and participating in organized activities aimed at subverting the state and the President of the Republic. The court finds that such claims are objectively capable of harming the honor, reputation, and professional integrity of the plaintiff, especially considering that the plaintiff is engaged in journalism,” the judgment states.
In addition to the amount of 100,000 dinars, according to the ruling, Dijana Hrkalović must also pay approximately 70,000 dinars in legal costs.
This is a first-instance ruling, and Hrkalović has the right to appeal.
The former secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had previously sued KRIK for defamation, but her lawsuit was dismissed, and a ruling was made in favor of the journalist.
KRIK and editor Stevan Dojčinović have been fighting against a large number of lawsuits filed by individuals close to the authorities for years. KRIK journalists, along with numerous journalistic organizations, believe that these lawsuits are a form of pressure to stop reporting on high-level corruption and crime within the state, backed by people from the government or individuals close to them. Currently, there are 14 lawsuits being pursued against the editorial team, and among those who have sued this investigative editorial office are Judge Dušanka Đorđević and her husband Aleksandar, as well as Predrag Koluvija, who is accused of organizing the cultivation of 1.6 tons of marijuana on his property "Jovanjica."
