Eco Guard: We have no connection to sending threats to the media.
Statement from the organization Eko Straža regarding the announcement and publication "ANEM ALARM: Threats to the media that their social media will be shut down if they write negatively about the president":
“In light of the announcement from the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) and the statement from Veran Matić, which mention the name Bojan Simišić and the association Eko Straža, we find it necessary to issue the following denial to the public:
The association Eko Straža, as well as Bojan Simišić personally, did not send and have no connection to the email from the address influenceri@proton.me, which is cited in the announcement as a threat to the media. The specific email and its content were most likely sent by Lj.K. (full name provided in the denial), a self-proclaimed representative of META for Serbia, who has often engaged in similar activities and has occasionally mistakenly sent emails from his addresses due to carelessness. Despite this, in ANEM’s announcement, the names of individuals, including Bojan Simišić and others, were mentioned in a context that may create the impression of their involvement.
Bojan Simišić and the association Eko Straža are frequent and public interlocutors in the very media mentioned in the announcement - television stations, online portals, and editorial offices that have been following our work for years, especially Nova S. Eko Straža is an openly, clearly, and publicly dissident-oriented association, with continuous public activities, which is easily verifiable and well-known to the media community.
Eko Straža remains committed to non-violent, public, and transparent actions and strongly condemns any form of threats to the media and journalists, regardless of their source, and whether it is a matter of "mockery." However, we ask the media to first verify the accuracy; we are always available for them and will continue to be.
In addition to the statement, the remaining three individuals have no connection to the sending of the email. Danka Indijanka is the most well-known Serbian gamer. L. L. is a minor and is 17 years old.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) apologizes to the mentioned individuals and to the public that misunderstood the statements we published. ANEM’s intention was not to imply that those named in the threat actually sent it, but rather that they were exploited, which was pointed out in the report to the prosecutor's office. To prevent further confusion for the public, the names from the announcement have been subsequently removed.
