FAR and "Emblema" strongly condemn the threats to Veran Matić's safety following the airing of the propaganda film "Evil Age 2."
We strongly condemn the targeting and endangerment of the safety of prominent journalist, president of ANEM, and member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, Veran Matić, following the broadcast of the propaganda film "Evil Era 2" on state-controlled television.

This precedent in the media sphere is a continuation of the pressure campaign against Matić and represents an open attack on freedom of thought, freedom of expression, and the public's right to confront facts and critical views of the past and present.
Such attacks, accompanied by the dissemination of falsehoods and the deception of the public, are not isolated incidents; rather, they are part of a dangerous and long-standing practice of targeting and intimidating professional journalists and entire editorial teams who dare to speak openly, objectively, and without fear, beyond the imposed narratives of the current authorities.
The responsibility for creating an atmosphere of lynching and fear lies with all those who incite hatred, relativize threats, or remain silent in the face of the obvious endangerment of our colleague's safety and that of other prominent media workers in this propaganda television series.
We demand an immediate and unequivocal response from the relevant institutions and full and lasting protection for Veran Matić, as any delay or ignoring of such threats amounts to complicity.
We clearly state that this form of intimidation will not silence the critical voice. Defending Veran Matić is defending free media and the fundamental right to truth as one of the pillars of a democratic society.
