Jan Bratu: All cases of threats and attacks on journalists must be prosecuted.
The OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Jan Bratu, made a statement on the social network X regarding the serious threat received by journalist Vuk Cvijić from the weekly Radar. He emphasized that all reported cases of threats and attacks on journalists must be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted.

“Impunity only encourages further threats and attacks,” Bratu wrote.
In the same message, he congratulated Veran Matić, the president of the ANEM Board, on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Journalists' Association of Serbia (UNS), in recognition of his long-standing and tireless work in supporting journalists facing threats and attacks, as well as for his steadfast commitment to fighting against impunity for crimes against journalists.
“The continuous relevance and importance of his work are unfortunately underscored by the ongoing threats to journalists in Serbia,” Bratu emphasized.
