The Management Board of Radio-Television of Serbia has made a decision to appoint Maja Grčić as the General Director of Radio-Television of Serbia for a term of five years, officially announced RTS.

The statement mentions that Manja Grčić is "a journalist with many years of experience in executive positions at several media companies."

With the appointment of Manja Grčić, the public competition announced on December 17, 2025, has concluded.

Biography

Manja Grčić was born in 1979. Her official biography states that she was educated in Libya, Iraq, Zambia, and Sri Lanka, and that she graduated in journalism from a journalism college in England.

“She worked as a journalist at the BBC, at TV B92, served as a public relations advisor at the American agency USAID, and was the director of the company ‘Media System’ at Pink Television. Since 2006, she has been the deputy director of Fox Television, and from 2008, she held the position of director of the national television TV3 Slovenia, which belongs to MTG (Modern Times Group),” the biography states.

In early 2011, she became the general director of Radio-Television B92, a position she held until 2013, “after which she joined Antena Group, where she served as the director of corporate and regulatory affairs.”

At that time, the program “Utisak nedelje,” created by Olja Bećković, was removed from TV B92.

In June 2015, she became the director of “Antena Group” for Serbia and Montenegro. In May 2019, she left her position as director of Prva Television, after the company “Kopernikus” purchased Prva TV and TV O2 for 180 million euros at the end of 2018.

In early 2020, she founded K1 Television, together with pop singer Željko Joksimović, where she initially also hosted the morning program.

She is the director of the company “Tačno d. o. o,” which owns the news agency Tanjug. She is a co-owner, along with Željko Joksimović, of the company “Minacord Media,” and in 2019, she co-founded the marketing agency “MAJO public” with Jovana Joksimović.

At the end of April 2021, the Government of Serbia appointed her as a member of the Board of Directors of the Belgrade Philharmonic. She held this position until January 2026.
