NUNS: March – 30 incidents against journalists

In March 2026, there were physical attacks on female and male journalists. This month, the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) recorded a total of **30 incidents involving female and male journalists**. There were **20 actual attacks** reported, as well as **five cases of death threats and threats to physical safety, along with two other threats**. Additionally, there were **two threats against media outlets and one attack on media and media organizations**. Particularly concerning were the physical attacks on female and male journalists during the local elections held in 10 municipalities and cities. They were also again targeted by serious attacks and disruptions by police officers while reporting on public events and protests.
