Out of a possible 282 media projects, only 43 candidates are evaluated.

As a reminder, in the register of candidates maintained by the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications (MIT), there are 105 candidates this year - 72 representatives of journalistic and media associations and 33 independent candidates.

If we take into account the fact that the commissions consist of three members (and in rare cases five), we arrive at the conclusion that so far, 282 or more different candidates could have been selected for the commissions.

However, only 43 of them have been given the opportunity this year to participate in the evaluation of projects for the production of media content in the field of public information.

According to insights from the Unified Information System (JIS) maintained by MIT, to date, based on the analysis of UNS, the record holder for the number of commissions in which he was selected as a member is independent candidate Boban Tomić, who is a member of 16 commissions.

Independent candidate Jasmina Mihailović has been selected in 15, while candidate Velimir Petrušić from the same category has been selected in 14 commissions.

Among the representatives of journalistic and media associations, Jelena Dopuđ, a representative of the Center for Media Culture and Education, and Aleksandar Simić from the Association of Sports Journalists of Belgrade, have been appointed to more than 10 commissions, with each being selected for 12 commissions.

So far, representatives of pro-government journalistic and media organizations have been appointed to 11 commissions - Petar Kočić, a representative of the Journalists' Society of Vojvodina, Vladan Stefanović from the Association of Radio and Television of Serbia, and Violeta Jovanov Peštanac, a representative of the Association of Electronic Media ComNet.

Among the representatives of the oldest and most relevant journalistic and media associations, besides three candidates from UNS who have been selected in a total of 12 commissions, there are no representatives from NUNS, ANEM, or Lokal Press.

As a reminder, the Rulebook on Co-financing Projects for Achieving Public Interest in the Field of Public Information stipulates that within one calendar year, the same candidate can be selected for a maximum of 20 commissions.
