Since the beginning of the year, 88 new media outlets have been registered in Serbia.

The research conducted by the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) indicates that the highest number of registered internet media stands at 82, followed by five print media and one radio station. In the first six months of 2026, no television stations were registered.

As a reminder, since January 1, the newly established company Zapple Media Group has launched a total of 12 portals: Snaga juga, "Nekad i sad", "Nekad i sad info", "Pre i posle info", "Pre-i-posle", Stara Pazova uživo, Nova Pazova uživo, Podunavlje uživo, Srbija na istoku, Palanačke vesti, Glas Aranđelovca, and Lučani uživo. The owner of the Novi Sad company that publishes these portals is Milica Lainović, and the director is Gradimir Banković, who also serves as the chief editor of all 12 new media outlets.

The company Best Media Team, which owns the tabloids Alo and Informer and has purchased several local media outlets in Serbia since the beginning of the year, has registered two new local portals - kolubaratv.rs and mačvatv.rs, through its subsidiaries Miomedia and Infomačva, as well as two portals of existing media - pribojtv.rs and tv5.rs.

In the Media Registry of the Business Registers Agency (APR), the portal Božur has been registered, based in Gračanica, Kosovo, making it the 31st media outlet owned by retired officer Slavko Stijaković. Radoica Milosavljević, who previously owned 12 media outlets, has recently registered the portal Koreni.

Moja Bačka Topola and Moj Vrbas are owned by Vesti sa severa, which already owns NS uživo and Vojvodina uživo and is connected with Dokumentarna TV, while Vladan Stefanović, the owner of multiple media outlets in Vojvodina, has registered the portals rtvsubotica.com and radiokikinda.rs.

A significant number of the newly registered portals represent local media. The following have been registered: Moj Požarevac, Odžaci u fokusu, Bagljaš Info, Svilajnac Online, Bačka Info, Titel Info, Šabac reporter, Info Golubac, TV Ub, Majdanpek Info, Novobečejski informator...

Večernje novosti has registered Srpski kompas as a weekly publication and as an internet portal.

Additionally, new publications include Horeca Journal owned by Horeca connect, Književne novine by the Association of Writers of Serbia, Bajnobaštanske novine by the Tara Resource Center, and Časopis Zadužbinar by the Mladenci Association.

Goran Medić has established the only radio station since the beginning of this year - BB radio.

Observing the total number of registered media on the APR website on a daily basis, it can be seen that about twenty public outlets have been shut down in the meantime, as there were 2,262 media outlets at the end of 2025, and at this moment, there are 2,339.
