Open Call for Narrative Podcasting Workshops: Podcast.rs Launches a New Media Literacy Program in Serbia
The Podcast.rs platform is launching the project "Innovations in Narrative Podcasting for Media Literacy in Serbia" and is announcing a call for workshop participants. The program is intended for independent podcast authors, journalists, and anyone who wants to enhance their skills in narrative storytelling through audio format.
During the four-month program (August – November 2025), 10 participants will be selected to undergo:
- intensive training in narrative podcast writing,
- workshops on solution journalism and the technique of “complicating the narrative,”
- a minimum of 10 hours of mentorship from recognized journalists and podcast authors,
- practical work on the development and production of a new, 5-episode podcast season.
In addition to the educational component, participants will also be involved in promotional activities – campaigns on social media, collaboration with the media, and public events featuring podcast listening sessions.
“Our goal is to create a new generation of podcast authors who will use narrative storytelling to enhance media literacy and pluralism in Serbia. Narrative podcasts are a powerful tool for developing critical thinking, as they offer audiences complex and multi-layered stories that are rarely found in traditional media,” stated Vladimir Radinović, director of Podcast.rs.
