Let's help JUGpress survive
The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) joins the initiative of NUNS and other journalistic and media associations and calls on all colleagues, citizens, and residents to support the Regional Information Agency JugPress in its efforts to survive in the name of solidarity, professional responsibility, and the collective struggle for free and independent journalism.

Member of NUNS, ANEM, and the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, Ljiljana Stojanović, and her team at the Regional Information Agency JUGpress, a media outlet that has been reporting professionally, objectively, and in the public interest for 19 years, are facing serious financial pressures that threaten the survival of the newsroom.
JUGpress is one of the first local internet media outlets outside of Belgrade, known for its consistent application of the Journalists' Code of Ethics in Serbia and comprehensive reporting on the community in southern Serbia. Due to this work, the newsroom has been subjected to government pressures, SLAPP lawsuits, stigmatization, and financial exhaustion for years.
In 2025, the situation culminated—colleague Stojanović was forced to enter the job market in an attempt to save a media outlet that has provided a platform for truth, citizens, and independent voices for decades.
Therefore, we invite you, in the spirit of professional solidarity, to support the survival of JUGpress.
Every donation—no matter how symbolic—represents a chance for this media outlet to continue existing and reporting in the interest of citizens, independently of political and financial centers of power.
