Representative of the OSCE for Freedom of Media on a visit to ANEM.
The OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Jan Bratu, visited the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) this week, where he discussed the current media situation in Serbia with Veran Matić and Saša Mirković.

During the conversation, special focus was placed on the process of selecting members of the REM Council. He emphasized that "the transparent and equal application of the law represents a key prerequisite for a functional regulatory framework."
Additionally, the meeting addressed the safety of journalists and media in Serbia, specifically the increasing frequency of attacks on media representatives at public gatherings, as well as pressures and threats.
As part of his stay in Serbia, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media also met with representatives of the Slavko Ćuruvija Foundation and Civil Initiatives, as well as representatives from various media editorial offices.
