Journalist and Editor of the zrenjaninski.com Portal, Nadica Jakovljev, Has Passed Away.
Renowned journalist and editor of the portal zrenjaninski.com, Nadica Jakovljev, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 64.

With sorrow and disbelief, we bid farewell to our colleague – a woman who lived journalism for more than three decades and left an indelible mark on the media of our city and region.
Born on November 14, 1961, in Zrenjanin, Nadica began her professional journey at the Novi Sad newspaper "Dnevnik," where she learned the first steps of journalism, but also quickly demonstrated what would accompany her throughout her career – dedication, sharp thinking, and a profound understanding of people and the times we live in.
Her name will forever be etched in the history of local journalism. As the editor-in-chief of the weekly publications "Zrenjanin," "Banatske novine," and "Zrenjaninske novine," she shaped editorial policy and professional standards, bravely and responsibly, always in service of the public. She was a voice of truth, often even when it was not easy.
As one of the founders and editors of the portal zrenjaninski.com, Nadica was part of a new era of journalism, recognizing the significance of digital media in a timely manner, yet never abandoning the core principles – accuracy, integrity, and humanity.
To her colleagues, she was more than an editor. She was a teacher, a support, and a friend. She knew how to listen, advise, and encourage. Her words carried weight, but also warmth. She always believed that journalism is not just a job, but a calling – and she lived in accordance with that belief.
With the passing of Nadica Jakovljev, we have lost much more than a top journalist. We have lost a part of history, a part of identity, a part of the soul of our journalism.
We will remember her for her courage to write what others leave unspoken, for her unwavering energy, and for the smile that instilled confidence.
May she rest in eternal glory and gratitude!
The funeral of Nadica Jakovljev will take place on Wednesday, April 22, at 3 PM, at the Gradnuličko Cemetery in Zrenjanin.
