The competition for the position of General Director of RTS has been announced.
Radio-Television of Serbia has announced a competition for the appointment of the General Director of this public media institution, as reported today on the RTS portal and in the daily newspaper Politika. The current director, Dragan Bujošević, will complete his second five-year term in February 2026, and he is no longer eligible for re-election to this position.

The conditions of the competition are that candidates must have citizenship of the Republic of Serbia, residence in the territory of Serbia, a higher education degree, and at least ten years of work experience in managerial programming or other positions with media service providers for radio and television, or in managerial positions in other areas relevant to the operation of the public media service.
When applying for the position of General Director, each candidate is required to submit, along with the signed application, a biography, a certificate of citizenship, a certificate of residence, proof of the required educational qualifications (diploma/certificate of graduation), proof of work experience in managerial positions for at least 10 years, a work and management program for RTS for the duration of the appointment, proof that no criminal proceedings are underway (the document cannot be older than three months from the date of the announcement of the competition), proof that the individual has not been convicted (the document cannot be older than three months from the date of the announcement of the competition), and a signed statement that they are not holding a public office or a position in a political party.
All evidence of meeting the competition requirements must be submitted in original or certified photocopy.
The mandate of the General Director is five years, and an individual may be appointed as General Director no more than twice. An individual who cannot be a member of the Board of Directors, except for employees of media service providers, cannot be appointed as General Director.
Signed applications, along with the biography and evidence of meeting the competition requirements, should be sent to the address: Board of Directors of the Public Media Institution, Radio-Television of Serbia, Belgrade, Takovska 10, by mail or personally through the RTS Registry Office (with a note for the PUBLIC COMPETITION FOR GENERAL DIRECTOR OF RTS).
The deadline for candidate applications is 30 days from the date of the public competition announcement, specifically from October 24, 2025.
The Board of Directors of Radio-Television of Serbia will appoint the General Director of Radio-Television of Serbia within 45 days from the opening of applications for the competition, in accordance with the valid Rules on the procedure and conditions for the selection of appointed persons.
Candidates will be informed of the results of the public competition within eight days from the date of the decision on the selection.
