Šolak initiates legal proceedings against United Group: He demands the freezing of the dismissal and the payment of 200 million euros in bonuses.
The founder of United Group, Dragan Šolak, today requested the Chamber of Commerce of the Court of Appeals in Amsterdam to initiate an investigation into the "serious management crisis" in the company he founded 25 years ago, according to a statement from Šolak's office.

As specified, Šolak in his lawsuit against United Group states that he and Executive Director Victoria Boklag were abruptly removed last week as an act of "retaliation" due to earlier legal actions initiated in London against the holding company United Group, regarding unpaid bonuses to which they were entitled under their valid contracts.
Šolak and Boklag, who are significant minority shareholders, were dismissed on June 16, 2025.
Earlier this year, in April, Šolak initiated legal proceedings in the High Court in London against the holding company United Group, Summer Parent, after BC Partners refused to pay €200 million in bonuses to him and members of the management team for the agreed sale of telecom subsidiaries in Serbia valued at €1.5 billion.
Today's request in Amsterdam expresses serious concerns and doubts regarding the current management of United Group.
"United Group and Summer Parent are also unjustifiably delaying the previously agreed payment of dividends, which was supposed to be executed shortly after the closing of the sale of United Group's Serbian telecom business on April 2, 2025. Since that date, over €1.1 billion in cash has remained unutilized in United Group's accounts," the statement emphasizes.
Based on the initiated investigation proceedings, the Chamber of Commerce has been requested to appoint an investigator to examine the relevant events at United Group. Additionally, a request for urgent measures has been submitted. If accepted, it could freeze the current situation regarding the management change at United Group, the statement reads.
