The goal is for members and local associates of SRG to provide all kinds of support, assistance, and advice to journalists and media workers on that day in case of threats to their safety and disruptions to their work.

In this regard, emergency telephone lines are available for field reporters: ANEM Safe Line 0800 100 115, emergency phones of the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) 060 688 22 31 and 066 8822 008, while on October 25th, journalists can contact the representatives of SRG and the lawyer from the Journalists' Association of Serbia (UNS) at the phone numbers 062 530 337 and 064 941 04 89.

We urge all journalists and media workers to report any threats, pressure, attacks, and other forms of disruption to their work and threats to their safety to these phone numbers. All information will be forwarded to the on-call members of SRG, who will be in communication with the contact points in the police and prosecutor's office.

SRG appeals to journalists to apply the recommendations and advice of domestic and international journalism and media organizations during reporting, to take care of their own safety and that of their colleagues, and to carry their press credentials with them.

We also invite journalists to show mutual solidarity.

Journalistic and media associations demand that the competent authorities ensure that media teams reporting on Sunday, October 25th, can work without obstruction in all locations, and to protect journalists from potential violence.

SRG, which was established in January 2017, consists of representatives from the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, as well as six journalistic and media associations – the Journalists' Association of Serbia (UNS), the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS), the Independent Journalists' Association of Vojvodina (NDNV), the Media Association (AM), the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM), the Association of Online Media (AOM), and the OSCE Mission to Serbia in an observer status.
