Radio Television Majdanpek has changed its name to T1 Media following a change of ownership.
The tabloid publishers Alo and Informer – Alo Media System and Insajder team – through their subsidiary Best Media Team, acquired Radio Television Majdanpek from Zaječar this June, which is the publisher of T1 television and portal. Additionally, yesterday, the name change of this company to T1 media was registered, according to data from the Business Registers Agency (APR).
The company RTV Majdanpek was, until a month ago, fully owned by Goran Nikolić. This year, it received a total of 4,450,000 dinars in funding from previous calls for project co-financing of media content—900,000 in Zaječar, 350,000 in Kladovo, 700,000 in Majdanpek, and 2,500,000 for two projects from the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.
Let us remind you, this is the tenth local media outlet that the publishers of Alo and Informer have acquired since the beginning of this year. Since January, they have also owned Konzum Lav from Čačak, TV-5 Užice, RTV Bačka Palanka, Santos from Zrenjanin, Lotel Plus from Loznica, Televizija Kikinda, RTV Golija, and the Information Center Priboj (TV Priboj).
Best Media Team, the company that oversees all these local publishers, has also established two subsidiary companies through which it registered new local media in April—kolubaratv.rs through the company Miomedia from Mionica and macvatv.rs through the company Infomačva from Šabac.
The publishers of Alo and Informer, along with all their subsidiaries, have received over 180 million dinars in the completed media competitions this year.
